For most of my life, I’ve lived under the weight of a simple yet persistent illusion: that everyone was watching me. I’ve always thought that people were paying attention to everything I did — judging, analyzing, and critiquing every little move. Every action, every step, every word seemed to be under scrutiny. And this paranoia was paralyzing.
